This locomotive type Beyer-Garratt is an articulated locomotive built to be used in winding routes and in steep slopes where maximum power and stress is required. Catalonia was the pioneer adopting this system. At the end of the 20's,eight coaches of this locomotive were purchased.

Se trata de un automotor de tipo Man de 3 coches y 200 plazas con asientos orientables. Destinado al uso turístico, está climatizado e incorpora ventana elevada de visión panorámica. Hace el mismo recorrido que el Tren Histórico y efectúa las mismas paradas que los trenes del servicio regular.
