    Morisca's Dance in Gerri de la Sal

    Typical dance associated with Gerri which is held on the Sunday of the Festa Major (main local festival). There is a performance of the legend associated with this dance, in a version adapted by the author Pep Coll; the actor Carles Canut is the narrator, while the other actors are neighbours from the village. After this, the Moor’s Dance begins and sweets are thrown to children from the balconies in the main square. The festival ends with a second performance of the Moor’s Dance that is open to everyone.
