Astronomy

It is said that the sky belongs to everyone and it can be seen from all over. However, this is not always true, the light pollution present in small and big cities do not allow us to observe the stars and the planets. But,in the Ager valley , there is a natural telescope with any filter and lights that disturbs the observation. this valley enjoys one of the clearest skies of Catalonia.

The COU ( centre for observing the Universe)is a multi-spacial centre with areas for play and training recently opened. It has been designed as a site for astronomical observation. The planetarium is covered by a retractable dome. The dome can be opened to leave the hall uncovered and permits direct observation of the sky(stars and planets) either during the day or at night.
The centre is located at 3,7 km far from Ager, at an altitude of 830m at the foot of the Montsec.
