Àger
Ager is a train station located at the foot of the Noguera Pallaressa river and by the side of the c-12 road, near the c-13 crossroad, also called 'el doll'.The town is at 9 km from the train station, in the middle of the valley of the Montsec mountain range of an altitude of 1600m.
The Ager valley, the town that gives its name to it, stands up around the fortress built by Arnau Mir de Tost in the 11th century, during the reconquest over the remains of an ancient Romanesque castle of the 4th century. The walled city, with its medieval streets, is built in radial shape with the castle palace and the Collegiate in the centre.
Its walled enclosure is closed with three gates.
